Lisboa

The breaks adjacent to Lisbon can be considered the roots of surfing in Portugal and, most likely, where the greatest number of surfers coexist.

The coast of Cascais, where the swell enters modestly, is the most wanted area during winter, south from Praia do Guincho to Santo Amaro, through the emblematic Praia de Carcavelos, until Costa de Caparica.

In summer time, from Praia do Guincho moving up to the north, by crossing the Sintra hills, we reach Praia Grande and Praia das Maçãs always the best and safest bet for smaller days.

During a visit to this area there are several things that shouldn’t be missed, a walk on the old streets of Cascais and taste the best ice cream in the world – Santini, or a hike throughout the magical forests of Sintra where the amount of castles and places will carry you to the origins of Portugal and, of course, an essential stopover in Lisbon for its preciousness, an enchanting city, rich in culture with excellent places for gastronomical treats.
